Poly Clip installation specs

• There are 2 mounting holes in each clip. One is 5/16” diameter the other is 3/16”. Use the fastener that best suits the installation surface material.
• Poly Clips can be installed 3 ways;

      1.) Fasten the side with teeth to the mounting surface with the appropriate fastener. Roll the edge of the netting and insert it into the Poly Clip. Snap the Poly Clip shut over the netting.
      2.) Roll the edge of the netting first and snap the Poly Clips shut over the netting. Fasten the Poly Clip with the netting to the surface with the appropriate fastener.
      3.) Install a cable around the outside edges of the area to be enclosed or sealed off with netting. Each Poly Clip has a cable hinge at the back of the Clip. With the clip open, position the cable inside the cable hinge. Close the clip over the cable and the rolled edge of the bird netting.

• Install Poly Clips every 12” along straight edges of netting and every 6” along curved or complex edges of netting.
• If fastening Poly Clips to a fixed surface, ALWAYS fasten the side with the ‘clip teeth’ to the surface. It must be installed this way to allow the Poly Clip to close. The clip teeth must protrude through the opposite side of the clip to hold it shut.
• While the Poly Clips can be reopened and closed, each time it is done the clip teeth lose more and more grip. If they have been opened more than once, or if the Poly Clips have been installed for some time, plan on replacing it with a new Poly Clip.

When and Where to Use the Poly Clips

• Used Poly Clips as perimeter fastening for all types of bird netting and poly based fencing.
• Poly Clips can be fastened to all types of surface materials and shapes.
• Recommended use with the PollyNet Bird Netting and our BOUNDARY Deer & Perimeter Fence.

Poly Clip Installation Tips:

• If fastening Poly Clips to a fixed surface, ALWAYS fasten the side with the ‘clip teeth’ to the surface. It must be installed this way to allow the Poly Clip to close. The clip teeth must protrude through the opposite side of the clip to hold it shut.
• The Poly Clips are designed to work with the PollyNet Bird Exclusion Netting but are also used with other bird nets and our BOUNDARY Deer Fence.
• Try to get as much of the netting or fence fabric inside the Poly Clip as possible. Roll the edges of netting or fence to engage as many strands of the fabric inside the Poly Clip. The more strands you can engage in the Poly Clips the better.
• DO NOT use the Poly Clips for access behind the netting. For access behind PollyNet use the Twist Loks.
• IMPORTANT: Always make sure the the surface will support the perimeter fastening. Do not attach Poly Clips to surfaces in poor condition or where there is no structural support.

Perimeter fastening. Close over rolled edges of netting for a secure hold. For all types of bird netting.

Poly Clips provide a low cost, easy to install method for perimeter fastening on bird netting or poly based fence.
Each Poly Clip is like a jaw with peg-like teeth. These clip teeth both hold the netting in place and hold the upper and lower ‘jaws’ of the Poly Clip together.

Material: Black, UV resistant polypropylene (PPE)
Overall Size Open: 1-3/4" wide X 3-1/2" long (44 mm X 88 mm)
Overall Size Closed: 1-3/4" wide X 2" long (44 mm X 51 mm)
Large Mounting Hole: 5/16" (7.9 mm) diameter
Small Mounting Hole: 3/16" (4.7 mm) diameter
Cable Hinge Size: 1/4" (6.3 mm) diameter when Poly Clip is closed.
Maximum cable size (at cable hinge): 7/32" (5.5 mm) diameter.
Clip 'Teeth' (what grips the netting fabric):
There are 5 small guide teeth that align the clip as it closes
There are 2 large clamping teeth that hold the clip together

IMPORTANT: Always fasten the side with teeth to the mounting surface. If you don't you wont be able to close the clip.
