How the Scarecrow works
It quietly waits until it detects an unwanted animal, then it instantly releases a short, but effective
pulsating stream of water at full garden hose pressure. The combination of
sudden noise, movement and water frightens animals away.
The Scarecrow comes with a flow through water design that allows you
to run 2 or more Scarecrows in series (depends on your city or well
water pressure).

Heat & Motion Sensor
Each Scarecrow has a high quality motion/heat sensor that has an effective
detection range of 35 feet. Because it detects heat as well as
motion, the Scarecrow is effective at night as well as during the
day. During daylight hours the optics automatically reduces sensitivity to help avoid false triggering.
When triggered, the Scarecrow blasts water for only 3 seconds - about
2 to 3 cups for each trigger. It then waits for 8 seconds, to
allow the animal to clear the detection area, and resets for the
next intruding animal. One - 9 volt battery (not included) can operate the sensor and the high flow valve for
thousands of activations (6 months under normal use).
