All applications must be in direct sunlight for most or all of the day. Use to deter birds from small gardens (larger gardens require additional units), moored boats, parked cars, AC units, RV's, fiberglass surfaces, flat roofs, peaked roofs, chimneys, vents, parapet ledges, docks, swim platforms, decks, around pools, etc.

Installation Is Easy!
The Aluminum base comes with 6 holes for mounting to the surface. The new design includes a pivoting center post. Simply loosen the bolt and adjust the angle to where you need it and re-tighten. You provide the appropriate mounting screws or nails. Washers may also be necessary depending on the size of hardware used. Installation or fastening with the Optional Suction Cups is detailed below. Install where the deterrent will receive both direct sunlight and will be exposed to the natural breeze or wind. If using multiple units space them 50 to 75 feet apart.
Using the Optional Suction Cups
With the HD suction cups, you can fasten the Scare Away Bird Deterrent Reflector on to cars, boats, RV's, AC units, glass skylights, copper flashing and other smooth surfaces without scratching or otherwise damaging them. The Suction Cups are heavy duty - not the toy suction cups you find on cheaply made products. These are made of sun resistant polymer with brass threaded inserts and thumbscrews. For best results, make sure the surface is clean and dry at time of application. The surface must be smooth to hold the vacuum created by the cups. They will not work on porous or rough surfaces.
Scare Away Bird Deterrent Reflector needs only sunlight and a slight breeze to deter pest birds from localized areas. Used for the spot control of seagulls, pigeons and other migratory birds, this spinning deterrent reflects bright sunlight in all directions. Changing light and wind conditions change the deterrent effect.
Installation is easy. The Aluminum base comes with 5 mounting holes. You can fasten the reflector with the hardware of your choice or use adhesive or the optional suction cup kit. (not included)
The optional suction cups can fasten to cars, boats, RV's, AC units, glass skylights, copper flashing and other smooth surfaces without scratching and the shaft is is adjustable to any angle you need for proper installation.

Vary the location of the Scare Away Reflector periodically to help prevent predictability, which birds will come to recognize. For larger spaces or open fields, use additional Scare Away Bird Deterrent Reflectors. We suggest using the Scare Away Bird Deterrent Reflector along with other bird deterrent methods and products.
