DeTour Repellent for Rodents

What is DeTour?
DeTour Rodent Repellent is a contact repellent that drives mice and rats out of all types of structures and areas without harming them. It does this with a contact irritant made from white pepper suspended in a clear, food grade mineral oil gel. It is NOT designed to catch or entangle the rodent. This is the first FIFRA 25b exempt rodent bio-repellent and it has applications for interior and exterior rodent management applications for cleanouts, maintenance and preventive programs.

How does DeTour Work?
DeTour irritates the rodents sensory organs and nerve endings. This mild irritation is enough to drive the rodents out of the contact areas. In addition, it produces a stress response that makes them less trap shy - benefitting control methods using live traps, snap traps and bait stations.

What is RoadBlock?
RoadBlock boxes come with the DeTour repellent already applied. These are not traps  - they are pass-through boxes that ensure the rodent makes contact with the DeTour repellent.

RoadBlock Pass Through Boxes An easy to use, naturally effective pass through box that has the DeTour repellent already applied. Place the RoadBlock boxes directly in the path of rodent to ensure they have to pass through the double door box. When they do, they get a dose of the DeTour repellent.

DeTour or RoadBlock?
While it will not harm people or pets, DeTour is still an irritant that can cause skin and eye irritation. If the application area is located where human or pet contact is unlikely, use the DeTour repellent in bead form. If the application is out in the open and human or pet contact is likely or expected, use RoadBlock pass through boxes to help prevent human contact and protect the DeTour from the curious.

Application Instructions

Applying DeTour

• Identify active rodent pathways and areas. Apply DeTour in bead form directly in the path of rodents so they will have to make contact with the repellent.

• DeTour is applied in bead form from either the 10 oz. cartridges or from the optional refillable applicator gun.

• Certain materials will require the use of absorption barriers when applying PiGNX. Cover porous surfaces with a mylar tape or other weather resistant coating.

• The applicator gun is refilled from the 2 pound pail by using the optional follow plate kit.

Applying RoadBlock

• Place directly in the path of the rodents.

• Use other objects to help funnel the rodents through the box.

• Use the sticky pad on bottom of box to hold it to all types of surfaces. See packaging for more info.
